Dancing with Butterflies

It's got to be one of the few reasons why I even log-on anymore.... ghosting gets boring if you can't even try on those amazing new boots from Maitreya or the newest style hair from Truth... but an amazing thing happened to me last weekend!

Just logged on and my wonderful friend Memory waved into my chat box and tempted me with promises of Red Hot Chili Peppers to a club where a few friends were hanging. And even though I hadn't seen them since around the time the fabulous KIWI-Club disappeared unto the Land of the Long White Cloud, it was just like old times! Kohn behind the DJ-pult pounding out the Chilis like there was no tomorrow, Burton and Sapphire gazing into each others eyes on the dancefloor and Memory showering all with her fairy dust to keep us happy and in the mood! ;-)

Butterflies - the club - belongs to Ria, another beautiful friend and her paramour, Whiterock. Unfortunately, RL beckoned me all too soon and I missed catching up with her (or with the adorable Viola, who I miss loads)... but as a consolation, Mem passed on a memorable snap of Lady Ria doin' her business on the loo! (Which I will keep to myself for now!!!) LOL

Along for the ride were Dex, the lonesome guitar hero and Novarre, the last gentleman in SL! <3

After shakin' my tailfeather, I had to hightail it back to reality... which might have been a blessing, cos they had at least 3 sploders hanging about and I'm such a sucker for them things!

Anyways... just made me realise, that the one thing that keeps me coming back are the extraordinary people who I have met here over the past few years - they allow me glimpses into their SLives and sometimes even bits of their first ones... and in some gracious moments, I get to see that the two can merge and everyone is blissful and happy... that's just nice!

Had a great Sunday - thanks everyone at Butterflies for making me feel welcome and for giving me a RHCP-fix once again! xxx

SL hasn't been nice to me.... Ame is constantly ghosted and my inventory is full of holes... I'm missing all those who I've learned to love during my "playtime" here even those who disappeared from my friends list after the Big Crash of September '09! With each new release I hope that Ame will return to her old form, but alas, as yet, to no avail!

Cascading

What a girl has to do...

Finally make it online for more than 3 seconds (Sl is being really M-E-A-N to me these days!)... and up pops an invite to the wedding of two very sweet people, who I met back in the days when SL meant little more than clubs and sploders (gawd how I miss them sploders! lol).

Anyways... the pressing question: what to wear? After breaking into a sweat following at least 45 minutes of fruitless searching in my out-of-control inventory... I gave up.

And that's the end of the story...

Well, OK... not quite the end...

Hidden well between all those dollie-girlie dresses and femme fatale vamp outfits, I found a notecard from L.C. Fashion. L1 shop, L10 shop, ballroom and lordie-knows-what-else-they-have... and a picture of a very pretty gown called CASCADA. Quick as a flash I was there and among other L0 ballgowns I spied this pretty satin-organza dream, slipped into it, felt just like Sabrina (or Audrey... or both) and was the Belle of the Ball (or wedding... *ahem* but that's another story, cos you don't wear white to a wedding if you don't want to upstage the bride... or so I was told... in a not so nice tone from my dear friend, Bridey... who was getting married! *oops*)

Chaotic Life

*cough*.... in case any out there still reads this, (aside from myself... could this technically be described as talking to myself, ho-hum???), I'm sorry for the lack of updates and yummy tid-bits from across the grid, but RL is just too overwhelming atm. What a bummer! o_O

Anyways... I will pop in now and again (and even try to find the energy to fix that bloody playlist!) - so hang in there! And if you have a few moments to spare, then peruse my blog list on the right and feast your eyes on the wonderfully whimsical mjusings of some awesomely talented bloggers (especially those with such gorgeous pics like Fricka & Elusyve (aka SlElf) or Achariya).

Only inworld tip that I can offer today is:

1) don't try and snap yourself while riding a rocking horse... not unless (a) you have oodles of spare time, and/or (b) you are trying your patience! lolol

2) if you haven't been to .::Mother Goose's::. before, then do yourself a favour. My freckly baby face is courtesy of the milok Hermit, who manages to create sweetly beautiful skins that capture the bittersweet moments of childhood oh-so-well! Skins, shapes, clothes and some quirky furniture, some free, some dirt cheap and even Lucky Boards galore!
