It still surprises such an old gal like me just how generous designers are in SL. I'm much too talent-free to create anything exceptional here, but I gratefully sponge off the generosity of those who are so clever and can NEVER, EVER understand how anyone over 2 SL-months old can run around still looking like a n00b (unless they are into kinky stuff and this satisfies their whims! ;D)

Here are my finds for today:

Dress: Full Moon Brocade Dress - Lucky Board at Sn@tch (at least another 5 boards there too)

Boots: Slouchy Leather Boots - Gift at *MCS* (look for a pink present on the wall, the shoes near it are free - there are at least 2 other free pairs to be had currently... so hurry! Join the group as the wonderful Mairead Fitzgerald styles herself as Mrs. Santa Claus and is at least twice as giving!!!)

Hair: Celebration group gift - *Dura* (not sure how long this gift will be out & there are also 2 other group gifts to gather up)

Skin: Apple - [Rockberry] POE4 gift (look for a world globe in the vicinity of the front desk...)

Strapped tights & necklace - not free

My adorably, squishably, quirkily and very talented friend, Ashia Tomsen, made all my Christmases come early last night!

After absolutely eons we finally were online at the same time (strangely enough, since we are now on the same side of the world and time zones can't play havoc - but we used to have more time when she was upside down in the Pacific and I was freezing my butt off here in the North and wishing I was there too!!!)... well, anyways...

I got to inspect her new line of drop-dead G*E*O*R*G*E*O*U*S skins! Named after her best friend, Justice, and available in 3 daytime makeup collections (8am - Classic daytime looks / 6pm - Smoking hot nighttime looks / 2am - Edgier looks with smeared lipstick and smudgy/weepy eyes)... I'm adoring the smudgy look and I'm telling you....

It's got to be one of the few reasons why I even log-on anymore.... ghosting gets boring if you can't even try on those amazing new boots from Maitreya or the newest style hair from Truth... but an amazing thing happened to me last weekend!

Just logged on and my wonderful friend Memory waved into my chat box and tempted me with promises of Red Hot Chili Peppers to a club where a few friends were hanging. And even though I hadn't seen them since around the time the fabulous KIWI-Club disappeared unto the Land of the Long White Cloud, it was just like old times! Kohn behind the DJ-pult pounding out the Chilis like there was no tomorrow, Burton and Sapphire gazing into each others eyes on the dancefloor and Memory showering all with her fairy dust to keep us happy and in the mood! ;-)

Butterflies - the club - belongs to Ria, another beautiful friend and her paramour, Whiterock. Unfortunately, RL beckoned me all too soon and I missed catching up with her (or with the adorable Viola, who I miss loads)... but as a consolation, Mem passed on a memorable snap of Lady Ria doin' her business on the loo! (Which I will keep to myself for now!!!) LOL

Along for the ride were Dex, the lonesome guitar hero and Novarre, the last gentleman in SL! <3

After shakin' my tailfeather, I had to hightail it back to reality... which might have been a blessing, cos they had at least 3 sploders hanging about and I'm such a sucker for them things!

Anyways... just made me realise, that the one thing that keeps me coming back are the extraordinary people who I have met here over the past few years - they allow me glimpses into their SLives and sometimes even bits of their first ones... and in some gracious moments, I get to see that the two can merge and everyone is blissful and happy... that's just nice!

Had a great Sunday - thanks everyone at Butterflies for making me feel welcome and for giving me a RHCP-fix once again! xxx

What a girl has to do...

Finally make it online for more than 3 seconds (Sl is being really M-E-A-N to me these days!)... and up pops an invite to the wedding of two very sweet people, who I met back in the days when SL meant little more than clubs and sploders (gawd how I miss them sploders! lol).

Anyways... the pressing question: what to wear? After breaking into a sweat following at least 45 minutes of fruitless searching in my out-of-control inventory... I gave up.

And that's the end of the story...

... teehee...

Well, OK... not quite the end...

Hidden well between all those dollie-girlie dresses and femme fatale vamp outfits, I found a notecard from L.C. Fashion. L1 shop, L10 shop, ballroom and lordie-knows-what-else-they-have... and a picture of a very pretty gown called CASCADA. Quick as a flash I was there and among other L0 ballgowns I spied this pretty satin-organza dream, slipped into it, felt just like Sabrina (or Audrey... or both) and was the Belle of the Ball (or wedding... *ahem* but that's another story, cos you don't wear white to a wedding if you don't want to upstage the bride... or so I was told... in a not so nice tone from my dear friend, Bridey... who was getting married! *oops*)

*cough*.... in case any out there still reads this, (aside from myself... could this technically be described as talking to myself, ho-hum???), I'm sorry for the lack of updates and yummy tid-bits from across the grid, but RL is just too overwhelming atm. What a bummer! o_O

Anyways... I will pop in now and again (and even try to find the energy to fix that bloody playlist!) - so hang in there! And if you have a few moments to spare, then peruse my blog list on the right and feast your eyes on the wonderfully whimsical mjusings of some awesomely talented bloggers (especially those with such gorgeous pics like Fricka & Elusyve (aka SlElf) or Achariya).

Only inworld tip that I can offer today is:

1) don't try and snap yourself while riding a rocking horse... not unless (a) you have oodles of spare time, and/or (b) you are trying your patience! lolol

2) if you haven't been to .::Mother Goose's::. before, then do yourself a favour. My freckly baby face is courtesy of the milok Hermit, who manages to create sweetly beautiful skins that capture the bittersweet moments of childhood oh-so-well! Skins, shapes, clothes and some quirky furniture, some free, some dirt cheap and even Lucky Boards galore!

hmmm... this week I lost my home in SL. The Hawaii-SIM has been a part of my SL life since I was a 3-month-old newbie! I've met so many truly gracious and giving people there, and unfortunately I've lost one of them there as well (RIP Shaun - lovingly remembered and still good for a laugh!)...

Hawaii is no more and here's one last salute to the generous Letum Zuma for providing me with a peaceful and beautiful home for so long!

I was feeling a little like Dorothy for a while... but kinda in reverse! Paradise Lost and left feeling like I'd ended up in Kansas - no Toto in sight though and the only witch around is me! hahaha

But, as the saying goes... when one door closes, a window opens elsewhere and due to the ingeniuty of a group of "New Hawaiians" (*smooch* AmandaLyn and RoadKing), I'm happy as a pig in a pike and already settled into my new/old hut, surrounded by blue water and swaying palms! Once again there is a very generous hero at the centre of my joy - headsup to Watchman Thursday for allowing our wee community to stay together! <3

It's getting kinda ridiculous... hardly purged my inventory down to under 5000 items and it is already steadily climbing back up into the stratosphere! *sigh*

There are just so many amazing freebies around at the moment and I can't resist playing dress-up and mixin' & matchin' till I'm clear outta breath! lol

Yummy Ashia Tomsen (OnRez link here) has been beavering away at her new line of skins (in between cavorting around the grid and getting into mischief as usual - I really was the soothing influence in her SL-life and now the poor dear is completely groundless!) *bwahahahahahahahaha*

Anyways... we lucky group members were gifted with a preview of the new line and asked for our humblest opinions. I adore Ashia's skins (nearly as much as I adore the Lady herself!) and although I wasn't gentle with my "not-likes", the overall impression is just lickable and I'll be gadding about in this skin at least until she has the makeups finished and kitty can slip into her fave freckled version! Ashia does some of the best freckle-action around! <3So, here's the lowdown... the boots and scarf/berets are dirt cheap from Mackenzie's - loads of colours to choose from and resizable as well. All clothing is from Kissable Kitties - take your time when you get there as there is so much to see and much more to grab!

tra-la-la... I'm in such a good mood, cos' I got gifties dropped on me! Yoohoo! *claps hands gleefully*

Kitty's wonderful Winged One has an illustrious round of friends... SweetAbe Columbia from Sweet Ideas being one of this talented group. SweetAbe creates cute and fun items for your house and garden, gorgeous furniture, fountains, romantic what-nots and she has also branched off into fashion of late (there are some Valentine themed freebies at the landing point).

Lucky kitty got to try the "Valentine Aphrodite Outfit", (co-designed with Salvatore Fellini), with many different variations to wear and a funky bow & quiver which are lovingly detailed - as is the whole outfit, including shoes and armbands. It's a very uplifting experience wandering around as a Goddess! Looking like butter wouldn't melt in your mouth, but wait till some rogue gets in my way - he'll get an eyeful of my awesome archery skills! You gotta try it, gals! Empowering! ;P

I had to check out her other designs at OnRez and stumbled across these ultra-sweet bunny accessories (direct link here - otherwise just type "Sweet Ideas" in search to gaze in wonder at all her other creations).

Ears, cuffs, playboy-bunny-tattoo, bowtie and animated carrot... I even found a wee lil friend to share my lunch with (don't tell him, but my tail is definately floofier!!!). ooh-weeee... there has been some mud-slinging going on blogwise this last day or two - rather disconcerting for the wonderful people behind the avs who spend countless hours blogging their hearts away for little more reward than the occasional "hiya" when met at some lucky chair or hunt and loads of "...'course ch'know they are like soooo stuck-up and snooty", for most of the rest of the time!

Anyways, I tip my hat to all of those busy-lil-blogging-beavers and can only wonder that the ever-proliferous "Anonymous" even bothers to spit their venom at increasing intervals at all... seems so totally uncool, but heck, like this kitty always says: live and let live!

Soooooo... I've been living it up in the completely gorgy Plaid Heart Skirt set from Katat0nik for - wait for it... just !L25! for a zillion colours and colour/size-change options too! Be still my beating heart! <3

Traditionally this time of year is given over to sales, inventory sellouts and the like... apparently SL is no different.

lilolOops is a cute store that is having a closing sale - everything is marked to L10 - and the feasting includes clothing, stockings, hair, skins, accessories and the quirkiest lil' cat earmuffs and backpack! =^.^=
I picked up this funky-punky skull singlet and a lacy skirt to match... but I don't think this kitty is strong enough to resist the cosmic pull of the backpack/earmuff packs for long!

ok...ok.... kitty is still roaming around SL instead of gearing up to get back to work tomorrow, but I must share these kyoot limited time items before they go !POOF!-!SHAZZAM!-!BANG!

Moo-Cow-legwarmers are a gift at a wonderful new store (at least for this kitty) called *~MM's~*. There are some fantastically detailed belts there and under the sign for the legwarmers you can see for yourself how much fine work goes into even a simple belt - there are 8 freebie belts in all textures to grab with your filthy mittens too!

And I finally get the chance to don my cow-shirt which was part of the "cow-dress" dollarbie from Burt Laundry. This quirky store has some sweet pieces on offer... I couldn't resist filling my closet with the purrty dresses here! =^.^=

Lastly, for those who are quick off the rank - the [savvy avvy] Christmas hunt is still on - the 25 super-duper-quality gifties (for gals and guys! w00t!) are still in and around the store and I adore this sheepskin coat (nr.23 pressie-look up high) to death... When I became aware of where I was, I was swinging hypnotically at Utsuku City, rhythmically swooshing away to the eerie music and struggling to keep alert as I kept a wary eye on the shadows creeping all around...

Hitomi Zimer of edge grafica is a magician - astounding in her creativity, galant in her generosity and absolutely exceptional in the attention to detail that each of her superb creations exhibit! I've never missed one of her designs and although I just raided my inventory and deleted at least 30K worth of stuff... my edge grafica folder is chock-full as ever and I couldn't part with any of it if I tried a thousand years!

As a reward for the moments of solemn and somber heart-rattling horror on that swing these gorgeous engineer's boots landed in my inventory! Just click on the Utsuku City Members sign when you get to edge grafica and then revel in the somnambulistic atmosphere (each item can be prize-camped in 10 minutes) like I did!

Yep... I'm still around - albeit casually aloof, I'm afraid! Missing you all and missing all the fun too!!!

Everyone's getting into the swing of things - I guess it isn't all that surprising... Peppermint Blue thrill me with their "Newbie Assistance Packs" again and again. The quality is astounding and they throw in everything including the bathroom sink (that may be a little overdone! ;P).

I just adore this months gorgeous lemony trench coat with argyle skirt underneath. There are also boots with it (not shown) and a lingerie set is included too (also not shown-*teehee*)!

Another generous giftie from them can be found at Don't Ask - a truly funky outfit from the hair down to the toes, (*ahem*) shoes! The accessories are neat and the whole look is trés chic!

iTuTu have put together a frightfully lurvely Halloween sales-spot-in-the-sky. kitty was invited to join the most amusing of groups a while back - Death by Waffle, reloaded - the chance to laugh myself silly at the most ridiculous of things was not to be passed up and aside from giggling fits and such, I also got a tip-off today via the group notices about a truly wondrous new SIM called Jewelfire. Still under construction - the build is breathtaking in its detail and just too totally perfect for your Halloween photo pleasure spreads!!!

kitty traipsed through the snow (with realistic crunch-crunchy footsteps!) and posed a bit in the awesome castle ruin...

...before hanging out with some guy who looked kinda lonely (so this is what happened to all those poor newbies!!!)...

...and then I took a seat under a gravestone to ponder the waves and the beauty of it all, when suddenly a chill hit me and !gasp! before I knew it, I was being hounded by the undead...

Being a kitty of few words (well, at least at the moment...) - here are a few lurvely finds to share with you all (freebies, group gifties and other such stuff):
Fantastic little shop called 19 Sosaku Kobo, has a wall of top quality freebies to be had - the leather jacket, bandage around my middle, cap and necklace are from here and they are unisex (both sizes in the boxes)! Check it out ;D

The wonderfully wacky Dove Swanson from [LAP] gave her groupies this totally groovy "Punkin" with 12(!) poses included and a cutesy punkin hat too! So go slap the Subscribo at the door and check the history for this little piece of cyber humour...

The sweet skirt and singlet I have on are from a place called MODE - a swag of freebies (mainly Tees) on one wall and a variety of fashion from L20 - L250. The skull-singlet was free and the funky skirt just L20.

Moving along.... my all-time fave designer Hitomi Zimer has released some new too-gorgeous items. *kitty dances a jig*
I can't describe how lush this wrap-around tartan skirt is and my pics certainly could not show you this amazing scarf as it deserves to be shown - so there is not much left for y'all to do, than to pop on over to edge grafica and pick them up for yourselves!

And my must-have Halloween accessory - the little friends Diablo & Witch are courtesy of Deviant Kitties - huggable to say the least and there were two others as well, but the lag just about did me in, so I took what I had and was overjoyed at what I got! =^.^=Haven't bothered mentioning my utterly irresistable skins or hair - they are either halloween freebies (Tuli or MMSkins) and have been blogged much better elsewhere or they are old favourites from the dungeons of my inventory (Philotic Energy and Exxess)!

Because I lurve you all soooo much, I can't keep this place a secret from y'all! ;D
Rock down to EXXESS Designs and try on the demos of their lush hair - it moves like John Travolta when he still had Saturday Night Fever! Crazzzzyyyyy!
I had to grab loads of hair (Kowary, Flame, Imagica & Sin were among my faves)... every time I turned around, my eyes feasted on another overly delicious style and BAM! - it landed in my closet before I knew what I was doing!

This is the adorable dollarbie to be had as well... Maryjoanna - all colours and even the choice of a lighter or heavier fringe/bangs. Pick up the cutie-pie "Little Teddy" on your tour-de-force - he sits on your hip and is frightfully charming...

The lovely ladies at The Freebie Telegraph made a fabulous find - Gothic Lolita Paradise - every shop at this Mall is worthy of your browsing time... (the blogged clothes are L0, some accessories depleted my piggy-bank though!) - if I had more SL-moments then I would have cleared my Linden account of every lousy dollar there today! :D

hmmmm... as I am doing a fabulous job of missing out on most of the inworld fun due to my RL getting in the way of everything else...

I was hanging out at the kitty shack, trying on all the delish new dresses in my inventory, when my pet bat, Tish, glided in and set my thoughts roaming so that I decided to go in search of The Dark Knight - who I will be relishing in RL tomorrow evening when I drag poor Mr. kitty off to the cinema for some much needing R&R and "partner-preening"...

Gotham City is just waaaay too cool for words and although there is often some serious RP happening at times, the SIM was virtually empty when I jetted in...

...which was grand, because I happened to stumble across Wayne Manor rather quickly...

...and after dodging the stiff old butler on my way in (I just mumbled something about recovering a pair of my knickers from under the bed and he didn't "bat" an eyelid! *teehee*)...

Purple, lilac, indigo... no matter what shade of this regal colour you fancy - this season (northern hemisphere autumn/winter) you are waaaayyyyy in luck!

I'll let you in on a secret... come in closer... all these colours wanna make me puke! hahahahahaha
Other than lurving the lording-about-connotations that come with purple, I couldn't stand to actually wear it in RL and watching everyone else do it at the moment is making me rather queasy! :/

Anyways... kitty can do what she wants and all she wanted to do was show off her new hair - seen here at Welma & Terena's fab blog first "this doll has handbook" and hunted down here for L1 (along with the sweet tulips I am holding). naughty kitty has been rather lazy and her inventory is a mess...
I've been sitting on these yummy freebies for such a while and finally spent a bit of time getting some pics of them together to share with you as I really had to show off some awesome new flesh!

First up I really must draw your attention to the absolutely scrumptious skins I am wearing in these pics.

This incredibly beautiful skin called Timeless Goth 14 is from Ashia Designs. Ashia is such a warm, outrageously funny and terribly talented cloven-footed thing (guess it's no secret that I just adore her to death!) - and to top it all off, she is wonderfully generous to boot! This skin can be had in the lucky chair at Ashia Designs. Ash just redid the nipples and other thingies on her skins and they are getting soooo realistic that it is quite scary! *shiver*

Next up is the latest group gift from Tuli called Elizabeth and it suits me so well *excuse me for a self-love-moment*. I fell hard for Tuli's last group gift Emily - I'm a sucker for freckles and these skins are just too sublime for my puny little mind to do justice to! *purr*

Moving on to my gladrags (and believe me, these clothes make kitty very, very glad *meowza*). SCANDAL Suite is a ultra-hip little shop with some funky pieces for the urban fashionista. Wander upstairs and be spoiled by the fine selection of freebies on offer, including this too luscious wine-red ruffled dress...

The skull bikini has some amazingly detailed attachments - skull buttons on the shoulders, side strings on the kini-bottom and a skull badge holding the kini-top together (not that kitty has much to hold in anyways! *teehee*).

Ears and tails were previously blogged and are from Deadkitties - colour-change my world! Shoes are from Sn@tch and SKGShoes - both were free, not sure of they still are (and no time to check -so blaaahhh, deal with it!).

The "Zenith" tattoo is from Peppermint Blue and is L0.

My hair is a freebie from Uncleweb Studio and comes in these two colours. I saw it on Julieta Peccable and she looked soooo purrty, I had to give it a whirl myself! I think I'll get my RL hair cut like this next week...

I ain't gonna say why (cos you can read about it there and group members were asked not to go mouthing off too loud about all the fuss&motion), but all these poses are from [LAP] and they are new and they didn't cost me a thing and Dove Swanson is the bloody bees-knees! The Gion Project is a fabulous SIM - sublime and peaceful - just as one would expect to find in downtown Kyoto (for someone who unfortnately hasn't been to Japan before!)

There are also groovy freebies to be found here as well - kewl kimonos (guys & gals), so you can play the part while exploring the SIM... ... inexplicably there is also a wonderfully flamboyant flamenco dress for the girls and a dashing morning suit for the boys (or cross-dressing kitty like me!)... I roped in the the ever-byootiful Ashia to check out the lovely scenery and she was just stunning and oh-so-coy in her flamenco robe and I was feeling all dandy in my suit! ;P

Well folks, it's time for me to concentrate on my first life again... after nearly 3 years of planning and waiting for the right location - we are finally opening our juice & café bar coming Wednesday! YAY!

My free time will be limited and although I will pop into SL now and again and scare you to death by shouting BOO! really loudly - it will only happen occasionally (sorry, don't get your hopes up - this self-employment lark is bloody hard work! lol)

kitty is stressed - lots of pics, few words (yeah-yeah... I can plainly hear you sigh with relief!) ;P

Beanie Canning tipped me off about a designer friend of hers from Cute Cherry Blossoms who is leaving SL and has set lots of her outfits down to L0-L10 and others to just L50! They are adorable dresses and some are complete outfits with shoes and jewellery too! YAY!

My byootiful hair is from WAKA & Yuki - I never fail to return home with a whole new range of hair when I visit them and this time round I met the lovely MIRIRU Landar who has just begun designing hair and has some funky L5/L10/L15 versions outside the W&Y main store. The appeal of W&Y hair isn't just the too sweet styles and the way-low prices, but I like the variety you get for a measly L30. Either there are 3 "normal" colours (nothing against paying L200 for a great hair, but do I really need it in 30 colours like Milky Way, Hershey and Bubblegum???) or you get just the one colour, but about 5 different bangs/fringes, that somehow make it look like five totally different styles! W&Y have a whole wall of freebie hair (for those new to the store) and if you join the group you can get the cute blonde piggy's as well! ;D

The truly lovely Nissa Nightfire of Magpie is one of those designers who spends countless hours at her PC working on virtual pieces of art - and the outcome are some of the cutest and most detailed Tees and accessories in SL. Quality has its price, but in Nissa's case, quality is just so darn affordable (just L25 for a luscious Tee) that she really should think of upping her prices! ;P

Her newest range is called "Scoop" and these lil babies are the funkiest, juiciest, make-you-smile Tees on the grid at the moment! Hand-painted and available in an array of bubblegum tones (I'm only showing you a few here)!

The fantastic thing about Nissa is that she has a generous heart as well and if you head down to her store, you will find a colourful box underneath the "ScoopTee" vendor that contains a whole bunch of adorable bangles for L0 in all the shades that match the Tees! w00t!

Yeah... I know what you're thinking - kitty is lookin' sooo darn cute! =^.^=

ZOMG! Feast your eyes on these dresses!!!

This first one is another charming creation from kuri Karas, the wonderfully generous designer from K*S. 74 Rosie Green is a delightful flighty, frothy dress which comes in long or short versions, complete with gloves and stocking and the detail is too detailed for me to even begin describing! The bodice has a flirty transparent part which sports sweet stars, the gloves come with ruffles and there are cute pink bows on the stockings to match!
Will only be available for a few days and not to be missed at L1! *mwah for kuri*

The other stunner is a group gift from the talented Candace Morgwain from Sweeter Than Candy... she's been spoiling us again and this lil' kitty is just lapping it up! =^.^=
It's called Ostrich Feather Dress and moves like the wind! *shimmy-shimmy-shake*
Pop on down to the main store and hit that subscribo... check the history and you will be ruffling some feathers before you know it! heehee

Last but not least, Minnu Model Skins has reopened and is generously giving away some skin packs for guys and gals! YAY!

There are some places that you just make you feel good... kitty discovered the KIWI Aroha Club by chance a long way back and was lucky enough to make meet many wonderful people here, make a few lasting friends and enjoy some great parties as well! *purr*

Times change and things evolve... the KIWI Aroha Beach Club & Shopping Mall now has its own island and it makes me feel soooo happy to jet in, slip on a kini and just relax to the sound of splashing waves and enjoy the balmy breeze that sends the palms all a-sway. KIWI Island combines two things that I adore - the beach and shopping (although the Mall is still being partly leased)!

Laying in the sun, swimming with dolphins, whale riding, paragliding, sailing, climbing up the mountain to the mystic Maori hut or just sitting around a campfire and enjoying the sunset after a hard day at the beach! It just like a mini-holiday paradise and LadyLove Spicer and sparky Singer are such hard-working and generous hosts, that this will be one spot on the grid that I will totally miss when kitty's RL life gets in the way of her online-playtime! =^.^.=

If you're lucky you may even come across a true Kiwi while exploring the island... I did! ;P

Whenever I think of the epitome of Italian style, I always think of Julieta Peccable. She does glamorous fashion with such a flair and surprises with magical finds of such class and quality!

I oozes with elegance and decadence (!) in this wonderful creation from AnaLee Balut from *ALB DREAM FASHION - you won't believe me when I tell you it is set at L0, so just pop on down and see it for yourself! This outfit is made with such loving attention to detail, the corset is lush and the gloves with attached bracelets is totally lickable!

Take a good look around the rest of the store as well - there are some downright amazing gladrags to be found here that truly live up to the name DREAM FASHION! ;)

Funky japanese SIMs

I don't know why it is so, it just is... some of the funkiest places on the gird are japanese! Today I got a IM from Gudia Inshan (boi, do I lurve outta-da-blu IMs! YAY!) and aside from being a totally sweet person, she is also a very generous designer who is in the middle of rebuilding her store at one of the kewtest places I've seen for a while!

So, off kitty trots to Goddess Beach, Askja and aside from the colourful and fun surroundings, I was in awe at the sheer number of freebies to be had there!

Gudia's shop is called *GCG* and at the moment there isn't actually a shop to speak of, as she is busy "redecorating" - LOL! She does have a vendor out and also two Independance Day gifties - a bikini for the gals and some boardshorts for the boys! There are sooo many "Yank-kinis" about at the moment and although kitty is from Down Under, I thought I would celebrate a little with the US crew (any reason to party is a good reason in my books!). The 4th July "Stars & Stripes" heels from Juicy are a perfect match - but hurry, all these goodies will go *poof* and disappear any day! And of course, once again, I have been outfunked by the overly scrumptious Ashia Tomsen from Free*Style - so pop on over and admire her pics of this purrty outfit!

The fantastic skin I am wearing is a new freebie at [Frick] - it's called "Fireworks".

Next door at *garden* the talented elli Rang is also in a giving mood! I couldn't pass up this adorable undies look in green for just L30 and later I have on some argyle stockings that were L20 for a 3-pack. Freebies at *garden* included the argyle undies in the last pic and the lilac bikini which also has a pair of blue pants in the box (and I had to show off my kitty-badass cos it's got a frog on it! *quack*). The sunnies are a scripted dollarbie from Mokoptica! w00t!

My last stop (nearly) had me in heaven! [C:M] has a tp to a skyshop - the tp is located under a tree on a wee island at Askja - it's worth looking for! What a wonderful shop - amazing eyes, a few superb shirts & hoodies for the guys and upstairs there is some amazing jewellery from [whim+]. You can camp outside for an exquisite ear piercing or for a cool Tee and don't forget to bag the gorgeous jacket and two pairs of eyes located outside for free!

My "kitten collar" is from ^^deadkitties^^ - it's a group gift and comes in 4 colours... so join up or miss out! This ever-so-cool hair is from KIN - not free, but worth every last linden I have!!!

The SIM sports a doggie training area and there are bunnies and squirrels all hoppity about too! There is a toy shop, water-slide, dolphin pool, sun-lounges and all those things you need to a day of frollicky fun!

Over at Alicia's she was musing about why so many people seem to suffer from overwhelming shyness in SL...

I make a run of a heap of blogs during my offline periods, but I hardly ever leave a comment anywhere - unless some strange compulsion overcomes me and I've pressed the comment button without stopping to take a breath (cos if I did that then I'd delete everything again and crawl back under my rock! lol).

There are 1-2 blogs where I feel comfortable throwing in my 2 cents, but they are mainly written by people who I have actually met in SL. On the other hand - this golden kitty outfit just screams of "look at me"... no hint of shyness there!

But like some, I just seem to think that everyone else has loads to do in SL and they are mainly there for some R&R, so they don't really need me butting into their fun with wierd queries or unrequested chit-chat.

Hmmm... bit queer that, because I just love it when people IM me about anything at all! :D

I guess another good reason to not bother people like Alicia would be that I DO read her blog avidly and she DOES enjoy quite a few (ahem) "loving moments" with Levi - I would just sink into the ground if I disturbed them in the middle of an important "discussion"!!! *giggle*

Way back in my youthful heyday, kitty was a goth-brat. That said, you have to understand that trying to stay a whiter-shade-of-pale and not melting in layers of luscious black velvet is no mean feat during a sweltering Aussie summer! LOL

Times change and I've since learned that goths are now emo, but at least the Sydney summers remains the same! I think I did myself a favour by staying outta the sun - slip, slop, slapping to the max...

It's always a thrill to relive those days of grungy clubs and ear-piercing guitar wailing bands - even if it is only inworld... I get all semtimental and wish that I had had the guts to go to such extremes in RL (but maybe with soap-off tats, kitty is not pain-resistant enough for the raeal thing! *ouch*).

Yesterday I had the chance to catch up with the very lovely Mumfairy Bekkers... now, I've known Mum since she was a hapless noob who stumbled upon me at the KIWI Club, badly in need of decent hair and shoes! ROFL

The sands of time drift swiftly in SL and Mum is now a breathtakingly gorgeous inworld-model as well as spending time as a mentor for other hapless noobies.

Anyways... there we were, sitting around, chatting, and Mum was eyeing my two constant companions, Mean Black Kitty and Friendly Brown Puppy from XD Fusion. Hardly anyone can resist these hilarious critters (dogs who lick their butts and cats who belch fish everywhere are terribly amusing! *grin*), and those two have been busy raising their profiles in the blogosphere in the last week or so (talk about ego-tripping!).

So, Mum asks if I don't mind them piddling all over me and I says: "naaaa, I'm no top-model, so it doesn't matter if I smell a WEE bit!"

I am such a lucky kitty! *purr*

Hitomi Zimer dropped her newest creation "Mourning Dress" on me today (get the clever title! heehee) - and it is drop-dead gorgeous! A swirl of black velvety melt-in-your-mouth lusciousness, accompanied by the cutest, most perky lil feathered hat!!! The bodice and sleeves have rows of coppery buttons and the bustle at the back makes looking at my backside quite enthralling! LOL

I'm blithering and drooling all at the same time, but bear with me, I just can't get enough of this gal's designs and it is still a complete puzzle to me why she gives it all away for free! Talk about giving and sharing! *mwah* Hitomi!

While hunting at Cassiopeia Isle, I got a LM fom the delightful Kellie Iwish from Elate! (go and check out her awesome new Feather dress at the main store here), that her friend Katx Kirax had joined the crew of the Isle and put out some new designs on two stalls there (LM direct to stalls here)...

...well, faster than a speeding bullet, I jetted on in and fell totally in lurve with this racy, lacy number. It is wonderfully textured - the lace border on the skirt just made me want to stroke my screen, the funky red-ribbon sash adds a touch of playfulness to the whole outfit and at just L80 it had to be mine! It also comes in a few other colours and there was a glorious blue/white summer dress hanging around that will probably wander into my closet soon as well!

Katx is also being terribly generous and offering us freebie junkies some fodder for our addiction. I only picked up this too kyoot cherry dress, but there is more to be had - don't miss out and go and take a look for yourselves! =^.^=

Yesterday was RavenLynn Templar's (from LVS&Co. fame) birthday and being the generous soul that she is, she is letting us all come to the bash by partying on Cassiopeia Isle this weekend and giving out some of the most glorious dresses and bikinis for just L1! YAY!

The new-look LVS&Co. main store is absolutely fantastic - much easier to find everything and soooo upper-class, I had to tuck away my chucks and put on my heels to walk in there! ;P

Sniff, shriek, squawk

Before things get completely out of hand in RL, I better warn my small but loyal readership, that kitty will be blogging only very occasionally in the next few weeks and around July, my SL-days will be well and truly numbered... *sniff*

There are exciting things afoot in RL - things that have been looooong in the planning and will finally bear fruit in about a months time and I am totally excited about them...

...BUT (yep, a B*I*G but here)... I will miss SL and the wonderful friends I have had the pleasure of meeting here. They are so diverse and delicious and each has helped in their own way to keep me sane during my months of "maternity-seclusion"... and more endearingly, they have kept me laughing (often so much that I've been shrieking so loud that baby is sure that his mum is a nutter! ;P)

You know who you are and I really can't express my thanks for your kindness, generosity and downright silliness (I tend to base my friendships on a kinda "silliness-scale" - LOLOL).

Before I blither and blather any further... you ain't got rid of me just yet - but as I said, this blog is coming to a wrap and as I prefer to go out with a bang than a whimper... I'll spend the next couple of weeks thinking up a nice surprise for my last post - something to keep you all squawking for a while! heehee

Bella Italia... for real!

I got a tip-off (*kitty waves to a friend-of-a-friend, AquilaDellaNotte Kondor*) about a SL-copy of a real Italian town which isn't located far from where I am living in RL! It's called Marostica and is famous because every other year there is a huge festival with a chess game at the town square. What makes it so amazing, is that the chess pieces are "played" by real people, dressed up in medieval costume! What a grand sight! :)

There are already a few "Italia Vera" sites in SL (Milan, Turin...) - each one worth a visit!I adore Italy and every trip I make, even if it is only for a day, leaves me feeling like I've been on holiday for a month! The balmy nights, the aroma of the best roasted coffee on the planet, the scent of jasmine and those happy, laid-back locals... la dolce vita! *purrs*

The SL version of Marostica not only offers chess lovers the possibility to flex their skills, but they are also hosting an art show in their community centre at the moment - located in the castello.

There were some bright, colourful artworks to admire and kitty also discovered a shop full of the most lovely freebies for boys and girls! YAY!

The dresses I am sporting today are from Anubis Style and can be found in a shop located in the NE corner of the town (I'm not giving you the exact SLurl, cos I want you all to walk about a bit! *clever*). The black one "Donna sera" swishes so ecstactically I had to do a jiggle&jive to let you see! There are many wonderful outfits here, casual and formal for both sexes!

So, if you are as much a fan of bella Italia as I am, then hop on your teleporter and go drink an espresso on me! =^.^=

You might be thinking: what the *yikes* kinda title is that for a blog... but for those of you who admit to being hair freaks and/or enjoy jabbing their creator content buttons the references should be recognisable! *winks*

Calla Hair is no more... not in the form that most of us got to know it as newbies, on the prowl for their first decent hair! LOL

Two talented ladies were the hidden faces of Calla - Haedon Quine and Tigerlily Koi. Following on the success of their joint venture, these gals have decided that the future will led them in different creative directions and being the busy beavers that they are, both have new stores up and running already!

First of the rank was Haedon Quine with Tousled - the main store is on the old Calla SIM, and Haedon is having a sale of soon-to-be-retired Calla hair at the moment. Near the new Tousled line, there is a room with L50 hair... not sure how long these bargains will be up for grabs though!

Here is the opening freebie from Tousled - a long, thick ponytail with double colour-change band and many colour options. I really lurve this style - hasn't left my head in days! :)

Tigerlily Koi has done a real job on her new store. I felt like Scarlett O'Hara wandering about this luscious build and although the SIM is also unfinished, it is lovely and worth a walk around. The opening of the new Calla store (Tigerlily will continue creating under this name) was on Friday and I fell for this glam, windswept style called "Angelica". It made me feel totally glam! *purr*

I couldn't pass up the kyoot "Peach Blossom" style either... colour-change ribbons and a dash of innocence! w00t! I just had to pose around for you in this scintillating new hair called "Xeranna" from The Stringer Mausoleum which can only be found at the Savoir Hair location and is available in heaps of colours for the pittance of L1! Talk about showstopper! Doesn't it just bring out that wild-child in kitty! *rawr*And how perfect did it match my new free skirt from *katat0nik*... this skirt has been a fave among lots of blog-fashionistas this week! The butterflies, the frilly underskirt... oooohhhh, too delish! AND it worked a dream with my Laceup-Tshirt from edge grafica, which features a delicate pink butterfly and cost nothing other than 10 minutes of luxury sitting and pretending to clear up my atrocious inventory-closet! LOL

My choker was also camp-won at edge grafica and is plain kyoot and my skin is the ever-so-pretty group freebie from BiancaF called "kate" which can be yours by whacking the subscribo at this wonderful store and checking the June9 notice in the history! Those lips are totally kissable *kitty restrains herself from licking her screen*! heehee

I'm not the most patient of cats and I've been fevering the opening of Hitomi Zimer's new edge grafica camp-store at utsuku city for over a week. The build is too delicious - just the right mix of elegant, spooky haunted house atmosphere that I adore and a perfect example of Hitomi's awesome graphic skills. So I sat myself in a comfy chair and starting to gather my treasures...

I also was lucky enough to spy the lovely, shopping-guru Beanie Canning lounging around and studiously doing some inventory cleaning while on-the-camp... not quite sure what Beanie can manage in the 10 minutes that it takes to get an item here, cos I sure as hell didn't get much further than "inventory-file-show filters"! LOL

Beanie also graciously posed for a snapshot here in front of this logo camisole with attached skirt-flounce - I'd been drooling in front of the poster for a few days and the wait was worth it = lush!

Here's a pic of my outfit which I proudly strut about in today after only 30 minutes of resting my weary feline limbs... Floral mini-skirt, cami and the superb Three Continuation Choker (which I didn't really "work" for as it was acually dropped on me by the oh-so-generous Hitomi! *smooch*), but I couldn't leave without this Laceup-Tshirt as well! Yum-Yum!

I previously blogged utsuku city - the whole SIM is filled with delightful shops where you can camp for hair, clothes, accessories, etc. for as little as 10 minutes. You have to join the utsuku city members to use the camping here, but believe me, it's worth a group spot!

kitty needs a holiday... recharge the batteries (yep, I'm related to the Duracell Bunny! LOL) and find my muse again... what better place than the home of the gods, demi-gods, sirens and muses... check out this too perfect Mykonos build at the Heart Reef Resort. All those colours and detail are bound to transfer a smile to that tired feline face and get the inspirational juices flowing again!

Those famous windmills are here to admire and there are several opportunities to dance and pose away for pairs, with the Aegean Sea glittering in the backgound! =^.^=

While checking my LMs for WAKA&Yuki yesterday, I stumbled across the wonderfully quirky Tokyo Pig Mall. There are shops, camping, games and a beautiful recreational area with beach, lagoon and pretty huts around.

Lots of shops I lurve are there: PERTURB/ation, Honey*Soul, *Ume Mode*, forbidden apple, *MIU*, slow kitchen and W&Y of course, and there was some genuine pleasure in discovering a few new favourites like: Rosy Mood, Ruruko, Leisurely, *chicoco* or S+H.

These cutie-pie wedgies were only L20 at Leisurely - you NEED these for the northern summer!

There are freebies in nearly every shop here at the Mall - and most other items are just so cheap anyway... it really is worth a look-and-see!

The glorious skin in the last pic - a warm, chocolaty brown masterpiece is from Ashia Designs and is a group gift! w00t! I've been meaning to do this blog for some time, but my procrastination has only added to the oodles of magnificence just waiting to invade your inventory at WAKA & Yuki.

WAKA Flow and yukitan Farrjones dabble in all sorts of fashion and accessories and they are tremendously generous about giving out freebies to visitors of their stores. Kitty is particularly devoted to their hairstyles, so I decided to present you all with a few examples of the luscious locks that can be had for FREE and some of my fave styles at the full price of L30... yes, you don't have to scurry off and get your glasses, all the hair at W&Y is just L30!

Feast your eyes on these Lovelies... first up is my ultimate RL hair-dream (if only my hair would really blow-dry this way *sigh*). The "W&Y yuki Hear 9" (L30) comes in just this one chocolaty colour, but there are 3 different fringe/bangs to choose from. Gorgeous!

Next up are a few freebies from W&Y's new main store (some of these can be found at other WAKA & Yuki shops, but not all of them.. check out the other shops though too, as there are other freebies to be found around the place!).

This hair-do is just sooo cute - I feel like Sandra Dee or Doris Day! lol

I just had to show off this over-the-top tattoo from LC Designs... I love this sort of thing! Creepy, crawly dragon squirms around my insides and then rips a gaping hole in the back to rear its mighty head again! *rawr*

There is a hunt going on at LC Designs at the moment (not sure how long it lasts though). There are 6 treasure chests to be found around the store and in one of them you will find this awesome tattoo!

Sooo... what are you waiting for? Shoo! Hop on your broomsticks and go let your "devil inside" out! LOL

The fashion conscious gal-about-town could get her whole (budget) summer collection done at one place... Cupcakes!

Mimi Coral can be added to the swathe of gifted, imaginative and totally generous designers who we have the pleasure of enjoying inworld.
I'm mostly a grungy, raw kinda kitty, but the burgeoning summer is bringing out that sweet and swirly other me! =^.^=
And where better to get my fashion addiction fixed than Cupcakes. There are a few Cupcakes locations, but these beauties were found at Mimi's main shop at PopFuzz.
The Starlight dress made me feel all Marilyn Monroe - anyone can be a goddess for L0! *whoa*! My freebie hair is a totally outrageous blow-dried retro-do from WAKA & Yuki, and I lay the blame for my sadly depleted Linden-account at the feet of Elusyve Jewell and Beanie Canning, who both gave me a nudge back to W&Y in their blogs and I just can't resist the hair there - at L30 the styles just cry out for me to take them home! *sigh*
Next up is another freebie - the Green Ruffles Top. Summery, light, flirty and simply pretty! I paired it with some shorts from Random Designs found at The GNUbie Store (top floor, methinks), the kewl Hitch Hiker boots from Domestic -V that were on offer the other day for just L1 (sorry if you want them and missed out, but if you are street-wise, then you are a member of the Free*Style group and aren't missing anything! lol). The sox are the white ones in the .+*Cipher*+. pack for Lo, the bracelets are also free at WAKA & Yuki and my luscious, long locks (W&Y Yuki HAIR 29) were a not-to-be-passed-up bargain there for the wee price of L30 and I have 3 different bangs to choose from! *purrz*

Well, after all that free lurve, I couldn't leave Cupcakes without this mighty fine Ruffled Top-pink in my shopping bag... it's scrumptious! It was a perfect steal at just L20! *faint*
I'm wearing the PJ Shorts from Sn@tch that Ivey gave away as a freebie earlier this week and the hair is called Kensei II from Truth and is just L1 for the fat-pack (there is also a version for the lads too!). My necklace is from PixelDolls and comes in a variety of colours for L0, the bracelet is one of the previous group gifts from +RETOX+ (who are forever giving away such wonderful stuff to their group members *hint-hint*) and these neat sunglasses are a fabulous group gift from Kalnins - they are scripted with all sorts of things - you have to see them to believe how practical and perfect they are!

mmhhhh... forgive me, but my snapshots could never do these dresses justice! I could just bury myself in this silky, glossy material and I could REALLY see myself wearing these dresses in RL - the colours are magnificent and you have to resist the urge to stroke your screen!

These gems are from Zaara Indian Couture at Taste of India and first up is the latest group gift! w00t! Join the group, wear your tag, pop over to the shop and enjoy shimmying into this gorgeous black and gold number.

Zaara Kohime is a very gifted designer with a flair for luscious textures and happy-go-lucky colours. Her shop is filled with wonderful india-inspired fashion and also some pulse-raising summer dresses, tanks and other goodies! I know I'm gushing, but I'm just soooo enamoured. :D

This next dress is called "Free Spirit" and is her contribution to The FASHION EXPO 2008 for RFL. Only one word is needed to describe it - breathtaking! At only L150 it is worth every penny and more and your contribution goes to a worthy cause. YAY!

Dontcha just adore old castles? All those twists and turns, turrets, hidden chambers, canons, parapets, dungeons... oooohhhh! There are a number of fantastic builds inworld, but the new home of Rustica furniture is just awesomingly amazing!

You can feel the chill enclosing you from the old stone walls...

If my home was my castle (and not just my sweet lil Hawaiian hut! lol), I would definately be furnishing it with a few exquisite items from the Rustica collection, they don't just have the typical castle-living-look, they have furniture from loads of periods and some other quirky items along the way - come and check this place out - there is nothing like palaver-ing on a chair or brood-ing all over a chaise longe!

This ever-so pretty dress is inspired by Klimt's portrait of young Mada Primavesi and it took my breath away... simply stunning! It is brought to you by the gifted and extremely generous kuri Karas from Kuri Style and is too-good-to-be-true at only L1. Next to it you can also pick up the white version for measly L50, which is closer to the original in the painting. Both include detailed stockings as well.
The way this dress moves! Grab it, slide into it and go dancing gals! You'll be mesmerised by the luscious, flirty swishing'n'swaying!!!

Movin' along... this glamourous skin was blogged by the lickable Creamy over at Free*Style and is a group freebie from {Frick}. Fricka Morgath is another totally kind designer who lavishes her group members with wonderful things (pop over and join her subscribe-o-matic group). The box with the skins is underneath the sign and includes so many diverse looks - this one is called "Glammy" and that's how it makes me feel! Check out the other bargain skins here - dollarbies abound and I had to pick up the Retro Makeup for just L10 - the eye makeup is like Amy Winehouse for advanced! LOL

My hair was previously blogged here from Candy House and the heels are the Slinky Stiletto's from Maitreya which are still available for L0 in a gift bag outside the Footwear section.

utsuku city

Following up a lead from the ever-so talented Hitomi Zima from edge grafica, I jetted in to utsuku city - a new funky japanese SIM that is still partly under construction, but already has a handful of superb goodies on offer for freebie junkies (like myself - *rawr*!)
All the shops in utsuku city have freebies - but it works on the Camping principle, so you have to join the Utsuku City Members group and then you can camp around the SIM for tons of cutesy-pie hair (at UA Beauty Salon), or seriously groovy anime-type shoes and caps (AMIpuu Shop - which is upstairs at Masked Ball), or various stockings (COCCO), or sweet Tees (Sacuracco)!

Camping times vary from 5min upwards... most items can be had at around 10 min. - time well spent sitting, preening and cleaning your notoriously messy inventory (*sigh*).

Go and have a look for yourself... the SIM is lurvely and will become crowded as the word gets round... although it only officially opened a few days ago, nearlly all the chairs at AMIpuu were taken when I flew in!!!

Gotta go and get someone to scratch behind my ears! ciaoli! *purr*

Let's get one thing straight right up front, OK!

I am a talentless feline when it comes to stuff like designing just about anything and am therefore most awed by the time, patience, imagination and sheer hard work that so many people put into creating things for something as transient as a computer game...

That said... I do have a good eye for aesthetics and there is often a WORLD of difference between what is well-made and what is made in a hurry, without much attention to detail.

One designer who definately falls into the first category of creators is Nissa Nightfire from MAGPIE. This Tee I'm wearing is just one example of what an awesome Tee can look like... hand-drawn and perfectly finished and way too cheap at only L25 (if ya want my humble opinion!) :D"Fragile - Handle with Care" - yeah right! Handle kitty at your own risk, more likely! LOL

I teamed Nissa's Tee with last weeks free gift from Kungler's - golden pants. Too lovely to pass up, but I had no idea what I would wear them with until I pulled out my yummy new Tee! Unfortunately the pants are no longer available, but there is a new freebie out, so it pays to pop over to Kungler's every once in a while (but that shop otherwise seriously depletes my Linden account, so I should probably stay away! heehee).

Pixel Dolls spoils it's avid fans with delicious group gifties all the time. Another excellent example being these Ribbon Boots. Just tp over and touch the Subscribe-o-matic... check the history as there may still be all sorts of tremendously yummy goodies in there to scavenge!

My cutey hair is a dollarbie from =TEKUTEKU= and this byootiful skin is the group freebie from CHAI called Indigo (I'm a sucker for freckles! Subscribe-o-matic giftie, so hurry over or it may be gone!)

*gasp* *splutter* *yaaaawn*
I'm all pooped out! One of my fave SIMs with so many scrumptious shops is having another special event with sooo many goodies on offer, I was very dizzy by the time I got home!

LVS&CO sim at Cassiopiea Isle are staging a Carnival this weekend in honour of the extraordinarily, fabulous, talented and spine-tingling Vincent Price. His birthday was on the 27th and he would have been 97 this year... but alas, all good things come to an end and Vince is now haunting it up with the best of them! ;D

Anyway, folks... get your tailed butts down to the Carnival - it's all there, the sights, the sounds, I even smelt the candy-floss and popcorn! YAY!

Once again I will have to enthuse about the amazing quality and value of the pressies that are always available at these events (so bear with me!). The detail and care is truly superb... and the goodies are all to be had at L1 each!!! I'm so totally flabbergasted...

The "Anime Fan Girl" outfit is super cute and it not only comes with different shirt options, but there is a funky belt and groovy backpack with an anime gal on it as well!
Had to show you the "Count Chocolate Belt" (L1) too... cos it's so delish I could eat it all up!
Only had time to pop on one other outfit - although there are jammies, a swimsuit, goth hoodies, a backpack, 3 must-grab Vincent Price tees and much more to be had.
The "Fishnet Dollie" is a 12-part masterpiece of texturised magic. All I can say to skull pasties is MEOW! The corset is too luscious and there are various top parts to add variety!
