I've devoured the books and they were rivetting... the film was *ahem* nice - just another example of how powerful the written word is and how difficult it can be to visualise with verve.
But this quote is just bloody awful:

i don't think that she meant that vegetarians live only on tofu, but that IF you lived on tofu, it would feel like a vampire only feeding on animals. and that's probably true
(and i'm a vegetarian)
